Dreams of the Dune: Giorgio Armani & Kith
“What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.”—Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Dreams of the Dune represents the third chapter of the collaboration between Giorgio Armani and Kith, bringing two distinct vocabularies into contact through construction, proportion, and material.
Presented in Morocco’s Agafay Desert, south of Marrakech, the collection is inspired by an environment shaped by stillness and sunlight. This behind-the-scenes glimpse of the presentation follows the chromatic palette of the desert as it shifts from darkness to light: black and deep blue give way to dark brown, burnt earth, and leather, before dissolving into sand, grey, and icy white. This elegant and impassive collection of scarves, foulards, gloves, and hats references not only the functional logic of desert attire, but also the way that the desert, as Jean Baudrillard once said, serves as “a natural extension of the inner silence of the body.”
