Backstage at 032c Fall/Winter 2025
Typically what cannot be seen, is what we most like to see. And what cannot be comprehended, is what we are most interested in investigating.
A suspicious mind has an attitude that interrogates. It critically analyzes the status quo and acknowledges that certain knowledge is impossible, particularly what is presented as a mere belief or dogma. SUSPICIOUS MINDS is an antithesis to the state of mind of a bigot, as it embraces what is unknown and might remain so.
With the Fall/Winter 2025 collection, creative director Maria Koch suggests breaking down forms and silhouettes as a counterexample, as sartorial exaggeration. Closely related to past collections, SUSPICIOUS MINDS continues to establish 032c Readytowear as an anti-Zeitgeist uniform that defies seasonal moods.
SUSPICIOUS MINDS is where traditionalism meets the new, where “die Tracht” meets a contemporary city uniform. It asks how we can distance ourselves from the old and let in the new—of which accepting the unknown is a part of. The Fall/Winter 2025 collection questions everything while celebrating relentless continuity.
